“The very best scenery near Baltimore,” remarked Frederick Law Olmsted after touring the Gwynn’s Falls Valley. In 1904, Olmsted urged Baltimore to preserve the impressive landscape, and today it is the largest urban woodland park on the East Coast. Join historian Dr. Ed Orser on a combination driving and walking tour of four beautiful sites in the valley. We will meet in the parking lot of the West Baltimore MARC station, 2215 W. Franklin Street, Baltimore, MD 21223.
