Dr. Hugo Keesing, author/producer of the Grammy-nominated “Battleground Korea: Songs and Sounds of America’s Forgotten War” will use music-as-history to present an overview of the three-year conflict as well as its short- and long-term impacts. Excerpts from period songs in styles including country, blues, pop, bluegrass and gospel, plus news broadcasts, public service announcements and more, provide a unique perspective on the events, people and issues associated with the fighting.
