The Park Heights Jewish Community Center (JCC) has been a hub of Baltimore's Jewish community for decades serving as a common meeting ground for all Jews respecting diversity of thinking and expression. It offers a gym sauna indoor and outdoor pools and an art gallery. It also provides space for classes meetings and events. Classes aren't necessarily on Jewish themes: writing painting Shakespeare and intellectual salons run right next door to ketuba design and Yiddish literature. At the gallery art is usually on Jewish themes (sometimes imported from Israel) and often tied in with the holidays. The JCC also offers baby-sitting clubs for young adults (including those with special needs) and parenting courses. It occasionally hosts literary readings in the evenings; call for the most recent calendar of events or check out their Web site.
